Of course DJI is not missing out on the yearly NAB (April 7-12, 2018) in Las Vegas, Nevada, and like most producers did in the past days, they released two new products as well: DJI Master Wheels And Force Pro.

DJI Master Wheels
The Master Wheels controller is an advanced professional wheel controller system that employs high-precision sensors, advanced control algorithms, and state-of-the-art product design to deliver precise and butter-smooth remote camera movement control.

There are two different versions: the DJI Master Wheels 2-Axis and DJI Master Wheels 3-Axis.

Precise control
Master Wheels use ultra-high-resolution optical encoders to detect subtle movements and transmit them to a connected gimbal system. This technology allows for incredibly accurate repeatability. The wheels are made of stainless steel, and they are a perfect balance of weight and design, allowing for classic control with cutting-edge equipment. Each component of Master Wheels is precision CNC machined, providing every cinematographer with steady and accurate operation.

Easy To Use
Users can manually adjust the angle between two control modules for a more ergonomic fit. This intuitive, interactive design makes camera control easier than ever. Each wheel control module is equipped with a three-stop toggle switch to control gimbal direction and dials to control speed, smoothness, and damping. Also, various buttons and menus on main control console and three custom buttons allow you to monitor equipment status and adjust settings quickly. Master Wheels also feature a modular design, so wheels and control modules can be detached from the base. The wheel and control modules can be operated completely separated from the base and connected via cables after being detached, giving users more freedom when shooting in tight spaces.

Stable and Reliable
Master Wheels’ dual-frequency 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz wireless transmission system supports a max operationrange of 3 km. Wired connection is also supported, keeping latency as low as 10 milliseconds. For added adaptability, the radio transmission module can be quickly detached and placed in an open area to obtain a stronger signal.

Broad Compatibility
With the included receiver, Master Wheels are compatible with the Ronin 2 and Ronin-S, and third-party gimbals through an S-BUS connection. Support for more devices is coming soon. The main control console contains multiple 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 taps for mounting monitors, video transmission systems, and more. Users can also charge monitors or wireless transmitters via the CAN BUS port.Master Wheels also come with a Mitchell mount that is attachable to the base plate for connecting to tripods, cars, and more, allowing users to shoot any scene they can imagine.

Intelligent Functions / Long Battery Life
Motion Control lets cinematographers record specific movements and repeat them when needed. Master Wheels use TB50 batteries, which are compatible with the Ronin 2 and Inspire 2. These batteries offer up to 18 hours of operating time, and their self-heating functionality ensures equipment works normally at temperatures as low as -20°.

DJI Force Pro

DJI Force Pro is a camera movement control system that allows operators to control gimbals remotely with incredible accuracy. By precisely synchronizing operator movement with camera movement, Force Pro allows operators to capture masterful shots more intuitively than ever.

Precision Control
Communication latency as low as 10 milliseconds means the camera moves in sync with DJI Force Pro in near real time. An embedded compass and high-precision IMU work in tandem to ensure control is smooth and prevent the gimbal from drifting while moving or stationary.

Stable Transmission
Wireless devices are plagued with interference issues, so that’s why the DJI Force Pro features a dual-frequency 2.4 and 5.8 GHz wireless transmission system, capable of delivering a control distance of up to 3 kilometers. DJI Force Pro also supports a wired connection, which can completely alleviate interference with other equipment on a film set.

Easy to Use
Just like with the Ronin 2, users can adjust gimbal and camera settings via DJI Force Pro’s built-in screen and buttons. You can even adjust each axis’ speed using adjustment dials.

Broad Compatibility / Long Battery Life
With the included receiver, DJI Master Wheels is compatible with the Ronin 2 and Ronin-S, or third-party gimbals through an S-BUS connection. Support for more devices is coming soon. Featuring a 4750 mA battery that offers up to 5 hours of operating time, DJI Force Pro has enough power to stay powered on for an entire shoot. Users can also charge Force Pro via its USB-C port or CAN BUS port.
